Khulna is a city in southwestern Bangladesh. It is the headquarters district of Khulna division.

Khulna is the third largest city in the south of Bangladesh. Khulna is a district and division in administrative infrastructure.
Khulna is an industrial city located on the banks of the river Rupsha, bordering the Bay of Bengal. Mongla is one of the two seaports of the country. A significant part of the Sundarbans is located here in Khulna. Khulna district is surrounded by Jessore, Bagerhat, Satkhira districts. It is one of the port cities of Bangladesh.
There are a total of 14 unions in Dumuria upazila of Khulna district. Magurkhali Union is one of them. Magurkhali is the smallest union in size. Magurkhali Union was formed in 1983.
